The DAP X-Series is a collection of professional high quality loudspeaker systems which are designed and developed by the DAP Audio R&D department in the Netherlands. Special attention is given to the transducers, high drivers, horn flares and passive crossovers, which will result in a wide coverage of the audience, optimal off-axis response (no mid dip) and optimal throw. The result is higher power handling capacity, high efficiency and a very wide and smooth frequency response at any listening position. All the transducers have optimized Thiele Small Parameters and the high drivers have a very high efficiency which gives the freedom of more power handling capacity, usage of high frequency correction and a transparent sound at the highest frequencies.

The DAP X series is already a successful speaker range since 2006. They have proven their reliability, sound quality and high power handlings for many years now. Because of the good quality of these series there is no need to change. But besides quality and reliability there is also a design and designs are always changing in time. That's why DAP introduced the XT series, they are exact the same as the X series but with an upgrade in looks. The foam is replaced by a metal grill and the front has round edges. This is not only a stylish upgrade but the XT has also become more road proof.
